XC Trail locations and Maps

If your looking for a great XC loop within Wharncliffe on current singletrack we recommend this 18k loop:

The loop has approx 600m of climbing and is graded Red with a couple of Black grade descents.


DH Trail maps and Location
To find the DH trails. From the "Top carpark" on woodhead road, enter the woods via the green barriers, shortley down the trail you will pass a second barrier. You have two options here, take the XC trail that leeds to the top of the Downhills or slowly make your way down the fire roads.

Following the XC trail the route is obvious, when you exit the trail turn right on the fireroad and follow this road, at the each junction head right. You will come to a fireroad T junction with a clear view straight infront of you across the valley. Take a right there and head up about 150m. You will see a large rock gully entering "Fastrack" this is the first of the DH tracks.
